Sunshine Village Ceremony

Clare & Brent had a quick ceremony at Sunshine Village in Banff National Park and decided to have us capture it. They eventually would have a party in June and show their ceremony to friends and family. Lauren from Rocky Mountain Weddings put together everything as she does many elopements , ceremony only and bigger weddings all year long. A few friends came a long and were in colourful garb and added to the ceremony held at the top of the Standish chair.

Rocky Mountain Weddings

Lauren from Rocky Mountain Weddings is one of the best wedding planners in the Bow Valley . She has been running her wedding planning business in Canmore and knows each hotel, venue, supplier in Banff, Canmore , Lake Louise very well. I have worked with Lauren on many weddings and we always work as a team. Lauren and her team were putting on a wonderful wedding at the Fairmont Banff Springs and I decided to visit to check out the setup. Of course I couldn’t resist so I brought my camera to capture it. Here are some photos I took of the ceremony setup in the Alhambra room and reception setup in the Cascade ballroom.

Amy & Nail Wedding in Lake Louise

Amy & Nail decided to have a wedding in Lake Louise. With family visiting from all parts of the world the couple made the most of their day and received a fab weather in August. Flowers were blooming in Lake Louise by the Fairmont with their famous poppies and the grass was green and lush. After a ceremony inside the Victoria room they headed out on the terrace for photos and finally moved into the Lefroy for the big reception.

Trina & David Fairmont Banff Springs Wedding

Trina & David had a fantastic Banff Wedding with many friends and family arriving from all over Canada and Australia. This couple were a joy to be around even though we never met in advance I felt like I knew them right away. Steph from Lynn Fletcher Wedding was there taking care of every detail. Gerrard being the professional he is always made sure his team of Chauffeurs at Highland Executive Chauffeur were ready to move on a moments notice and of course made sure the guys ties and shoes were looking right for every shot Kirstie was about to take. Kirstie Orange Girl as she is known was a pleasure to follow on her shoot and is one of the most relaxed photographers I have worked with. Wishing Trina & David health and happiness back in Australia.

LeeAnn & Mike Heli Wedding

LeeAnn & Mike came down from the Edmonton area to have a private wedding in the mountains. Just the two of them and three of us up in a Helicopter. Marion the marriage commissioner and Colin the Photographer and myself. Lauren from Rocky Mountain Weddings organized the whole trip for the couple and made their day happen. Ralph our Helicopter Pilot and owner of Kananaskis Helicopters chose the special location.

Here is a Highlight of that special trip and beautiful scenery by the Cline River in Alberta.

Joe & Lily Calgary Chinese Wedding

Joe & Lily had a full day of events for their Chinese Wedding. First tea ceremonies and games at Lily’s parents home in Calgary then a move over to Joe’s parents place for another tea ceremony. The official ceremony was held at the Calgary Zoo with the help of Sonia from Enriched Events Here is their highlight film.

Leanne & Todd Banff Wedding

Leanne and Todd made the trip with their troupe of friends from the UK for a nice summer in Banff and area. A few family members live in Calgary so they all came for this intimate wedding. Marion made them feel comfortable as they said their vows and Lauren from Rocky Mountain Weddings took care of the couples every need and made sure their Banff Wedding was a success.

Neda & Elias Calgary Wedding

Neda & Elias had a great wedding in June with family and friends that came from as far as Australia. The ceremony and reception were held at the historic Fairmont Palliser Hotel in Calgary. Mark Shannon was the talented photographer that led the group to fantastic location throughout the city for creative shots. Everyone had a fantastic time on this special day and I was there to capture it.
